Seth Geffner graduated from the University of Arizona in 1996 and then attended graduate schools at the University of Michigan and Sonoma State University. He has been a Counselor at Santa Rosa High School since 2003.
Kristine Erken | Counselor:D-Ha
Kristine Erken started her college career at Santa Rosa Junior College. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 1989 and earned her Masters in Counseling at the University of San Franscisco. In her past life she was a Montgomery Viking but has since been converted to a Santa Rosa Panther where the spirit and pride shines above all the rest!
Amber Bowman | Counselor:He-Mo
Amber Bowman started her college career at Santa Rosa Junior College. She graduated from Sonoma State University in 2007 and then attended graduate school at the University of San Francisco, receiving her Masters degree in Counseling. Although Amber is new to SRHS she is excited and proud to wear orange and black and be a Panther! She lives in Rohnert Park with her husband and daughter.
Blaire Murphy | Counselor:Mu-Sa
Blaire graduated from Long Beach State and received her Masters degree in School Counseling at Sonoma State University. Blaire has been a Counselor at SRHS since 2007. She lives in Santa Rosa with her husband, daughter, and son.
Kris Bertsch | Counselor: Sc-Z
Ms Bertsch-Rydell earned her Bachelors of Arts Degrees and Coaching Credential from UC Santa Barbara in 1989 then her Masters in Counseling with the PPS Credential from Sonoma State University in 1994, the year after her twin daughters were born. She began counseling in SRCS in 1993 at Piner High School. She came to SRHS in '95 and after a stint at SRMS, she returned to SRHS in 2010. She has had three daughters graduate from SRHS and currently, her oldest step child is a freshman at SRHS with two more little panthers still to come. "I may have been gone from SRHS for 8 years, but the orange and black never bled out of me, Once a Panther Always a Panther..."
Jeri Jones | Counselor: College and Career
Ms. Jones is a Sonoma County native, having attended SRJC before transferring to Dominican University of California. She later earned her M.Ed in Counseling from Northern Arizona University in 2003 and has worked as a School Counselor for ten years in Arizona and overseas. Ms. Jones is excited to return "home" to Sonoma County and to provide college and career counseling services here in Panther Country!
